Georgian experts to examine state of Ishkhani church in Turkey

A group of Georgian experts will visit Turkey on Tuesday. The experts will examine the state of the church in the historical area in the south-eastern part of the Black Sea - Tao Klarjeti - in the territory of Turkey.
As Georgian Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection reported, according to the agreement reached as a result of negotiations between Georgian Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Guram Odisharia and Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Omer Chelik, on August 27-28 the Georgian experts will get familiar with the rehabilitation works in the Ishkhani temple.
The head of the Georgian delegation is the Director General of Georgian National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation Merab Bochoidze. Georgian experts will visit Tao-Klarjeti for the fourth time.
Ishkhani temple, located in the territory of Turkey, is the monument of Georgian architecture and is dated back to IX-X centuries.
