Telavi Court (Kakheti region, East Georgia) passed sentence on the case of the brother of the country's former Justice Minister, former Deputy Governor of Kakheti David Adeisvili. According to the court's verdict, Adeishvili was sentenced in absentia to two years and 22 days in prison.

At the same time, the court ordered the former Deputy Governor of Kakheti to pay a fine of 5,000 lari. According to the sentence, Adeishvili is barred from holding public office for 9 months after the completion of the sentence.

Adeishvili's lawyer, Gocha Tediashvili believes that the court's verdict is unfair. According to the lawyer, the verdict of the Telavi Court will be appealed against in the appellate court.

Adeishvili, who is currently wanted by the police, is accused of executing Telavi market to a figure-head by using his official position.

According to the verdict, the sentence will begin after Adeishvili is arrested.
