Violation of the territorial integrity of Georgia remains one of the major challenges for the countries of eastern partnership and the EU, Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili said during working lunch of conference on security hosted in Riga.
Ivanishvili emphasized the importance of the EU's role in supporting the security and territorial integrity of Georgia.
According to him, the role of the EU is special.
"One of the main challenges in the process of integration in Eastern Europe is the region's security problems. Unfortunately, there are still plenty of unresolved conflicts in the EU's Eastern neighborhood. The issue is crucial to Georgia as well", Ivanishvili said.
