Batumi sea port and container terminal management has agreed on cooperation and outlined future plans to increase cargo turnover.
The port's Director Talgat Baitaziyev promised port workers he would improve their working conditions, increase wages and offer rewards for good work, a regional TV channel TV-25 reported on Wednesday.
Batumi oil terminal labour union organisation and the port and container terminal highlighted the relative improvement of the workers' position.
Previously, earlier, workers at Batumi sea port often held strikes demanding the improvement of working conditions and increase of wages.
