If the candidate from the Georgian Dream coalition Giorgi Margvelashvili doesn't win in first round of the presidential election, there will be no necessity for him to participate in the second round, Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said during the meeting with the editors-in-chief of Georgian newspapers and radio stations on Thursday.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Margvelashvili will win the first round.
"I practically rule out the second round and to say more, if Margvelashvili accumulates less than 60 per cent, this will be an insult for me and my enthusiasm will diminish," Ivanishvili stressed.

He called on all his supporters to participate in the voting.

At the same time, Ivanishvili said that if the representative of the former government, candidate from the United National Movement David Bakradze wins the election, he will present the current President Mikheil Saakashvili to the post of Prime Minister.

The presidential election in Georgia will be held on October 27.
