The Vilnius summit of “Eastern Partnership” that will be held on Nov.28-29 in Lithuanian capital was the main topic at the meeting between President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili and French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicole Brick.

The Vilnius summit of "Eastern Partnership" that will be held on Nov.28-29 in Lithuanian capital was the main topic at the meeting between President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili and French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicole Brick.

The close meeting was held on Nov.25 in the government office. The sides also discussed the meeting between presidents of France and Georgia that is planned to be held within the summit.

In addition, the concrete areas in Georgia where France wants to increase investments were discussed.

"This was a very warm and encouraging meeting. Of course, we also talked about the meeting that will be held at Vilnius summit. We touched an extremely interesting year that will begin only after a few days with the initialing of the Association Agreement and till its signing. We also had talks about the intensifying of cooperation with France," Margvelashvili said at the end of the meeting.

The initialing will be very important for Georgia, Brick said.

"France will support your country in this process. I am confident that the initialing of the agreement will dramatically improve the trade relations between our countries," Nicole Brick said.
