Tbilisi, Georgia, Nov. 28

After the initialling of the association agreement with the European Union, Georgia's integration becomes irreversible, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani told Georgian reporters in Vilnius.
The initialling of the association agreement between Georgia and the European Union is planned to be carried out at the Eastern Partnership summit to be held in Vilnius on November 28-29.
"This is a historic day for Georgia. The country's integration into Europe becomes irreversible. With the registration of this agreement (on the association with the EU) we find ourselves in a legal framework for integration into Europe. I reiterate that this agreement is not about EU membership, but with its signing, Georgia's Europeanization becomes irreversible," Zalkaliani said.
