The Georgian nation may rely on the support of the European Union, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule told Georgian journalists on Nov.28 during the Vilnius summit of the Eastern Partnership.
According to the European Commissioner, the Eastern Partnership summit in being held in Vilnius for the third time but now "it has a concrete content and cooperation tools".
"Georgia's progress in the process of freeing up the visa system has been clearly fixed at the summit. The Association Agreement will be initiated," he said.
Fule stressed that together with other countries that enter the good neighbourhood policy of the EU, Georgia will become Europe's partner in the sphere of development of the transport infrastructure.
"Georgia may expect many things and the Georgian nation may rely on the support of the EU. The inclination of such a beautiful country as Georgia into the EU will increase even more," the European Commissioner said.
