Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has created a mobile team to monitor developments in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions of Georgia.

Speaking to reporters on June 3, the vice-speaker of Georgian parliament Zurab Abashidze said the mobile group's name and other details of its activity will be announced later.

"We again persistently put forward the issue of restoring the OSCE mission. The creation of such a group is a necessary and very important step," Abashidze stressed.

Speaking about Swiss president's visit to Georgia, Abashidze said he believes that the visit has a great significance in terms of deepening of relations between the two countries and realization of investments.

Large scale military action was launched between Georgia and Russia in South Ossetia on August 8, 2008. Later, Russian troops occupied Tskhinvali and expelled the Georgian military.

Russia recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia in late August.

In response, Tbilisi ended diplomatic relations with Moscow and has called the two unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia occupied territories.
