The Georgian President is ready to introduce a new composition of Cabinet of Ministers to parliament upon its submission by the Prime Minister.

As Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said at a briefing, he will get a list of the new Cabinet of Ministers and will give it to the parliament.

I do not participate in the formation of a new Cabinet, I simply submit the list of the new government to the parliament and request to answer the question whether it trusts this government, the president said.

In accordance with the Constitution, the Premier has a week for introduction of the new composition of the government to the president, and the latter has a week to issue a question for the declaration of confidence to the new government.

If confidence in the government will be provided, then questions are not arising, however, in case of refusal to trust, "other procedures" will start, according to Margvelashvili.

The President stressed that the parliament declares full confidence in the composition of the Cabinet, including the prime minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Despite the fact that the main government ministers have not been changed, he decided to postpone a previously scheduled meeting of the National Security Council, he said.
