Additional resources will be allocated in Georgia in 2015 and the policy of teachers' salaries will be regulated, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at the meeting with the teachers.

"The teachers' salary will continue increasing in 2016 and 2017," he said.

"I hope that the new teacher professional development system will create a new perspective in the field of education in our country," Garibashvili said. "We must turn the profession of a teacher into one of the most prestigious, as it happens in all successful world countries. We will make efforts for this profession to be attractive for young people thanks to this support and a comprehensive approach. I hope that our teachers to be actively involved in such an important process."
