Majority of respodents believes that Georgian government made adequate and timely measures for prevention of COVID-19

The European Regional Bureau of World Health Organization and WHO Georgian Office held an online presentation of the jointly carried out research, Trend repots citing 1tv.ge.

The research had to do with knowledge, perception of risks and preventive measures against novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia.

Based on results of the research, the 76-84 % believes that the Georgian government made adequate and timely measures in prevention of COVID-19.

The 90% of respondents are aware of the symptoms, transmission means of the virus, and applies to preventive measures.

The research also revealed that locals of the villages are less informed about the virus than people living in the cities.

The telephone survey was carried out in the period from April 21 to May 15 in three stages with 1-week intervals and comprised all regions. The margin of error is 3.1%.
