Georgian foreign trade turnover (excluding undeclared trade) from January through September 2021 amounted to $10 billion, which is 22.3 percent more than over the same period of 2020 – $8.1 billion, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to Geostat, Georgian exports over the reporting period of 2021 amounted to $2.9 billion – an increase of 24 percent, compared to $2.4 billion in the same period of 2020.
Georgian imports amounted to $7 billion from January through September 2021, which is an increase of 21.6 percent, compared to $5.7 billion over the reporting period of 2020.
The negative trade balance from January through September 2021 amounted to $4 billion and accounted for 40.4 percent of the total foreign trade turnover, Geostat reports.
