Georgia's Kutaisi International Airport sees positive air traffic dynamics

Georgian Kutaisi International Airport restored the number of flights in October 2021 by 65 percent and served 195 flights, compared to 298 flights in the same month of 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic), Trend reports via Georgian media.

Meanwhile, positive dynamics of passenger flow are observed in the Kutaisi International Airport in October 2021. The airport served 42,777 passengers, which is 48 percent of the passenger flow in the same period of 2019 (89,647 people).

“Currently, 3 airlines operate direct flights from Kutaisi International Airport to 22 destinations, including 4 to Kazakhstan and 18 to Europe. Some 166 direct scheduled flights were operated from the Airport in October 2021,” Tamar Archuadze, the director of the Georgian Airports Union, said.

“Wizz Air has resumed direct flights from Kutaisi to Barcelona, ​​Vienna and Berlin from October 31. Regular flights from Kutaisi Airport to Abu Dhabi will be launched from December 15,” she added.

About 119 regular flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Europe and 29 regular flights to Asia are scheduled for November 2021.
