The number of tourists from Azerbaijan traveling to Georgia from January through October 2021 decreased by 77.1 percent to 65,867 visitors, compared to 287,275 people over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the same indicator decreased by 94.9 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to first 10 months of 2019, when 1.2 million people visited Georgia from Azerbaijan.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 7 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for tourists arriving in Georgia, the report said.
The total number of incoming international visitors to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to 1.5 million people, which is a decrease of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.6 million over the same period of 2020.
According to the statistics, the same index dropped by 79 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 6.6 million over first 10 months of 2019.
