Georgia’s car imports from January through October 2021 totaled $706.7 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The figure increased by 13.3 percent, compared to $623.3 million over the same period of 2020, the report said.
The amount of imported cars over the reporting period of 2021 increased by 19.7 percent, compared to 77,620 cars over the same period of 2020 – to 92,949 cars.
TOP-5 car exporters to Georgia (Jan. through Oct. 2021):
US – $419.4 million (62,580 cars);
Japan – $134.9 million (10,291 cars);
Germany – $64.5 million (7,962 cars);
Turkey – $11 million (640 cars);
UK – $9.8 million (195 cars).
Meanwhile, total Georgia’s imports from January through October 2021 amounted to $7.9 billion, which is an increase of 22.3 percent, compared to $6.4 billion over the reporting period of 2020.
