Iran remains main lubricants exporter to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 9

Georgia’s imports of lubricants from Iran from January through November 2021 amounted to 17,120 tons, which, compared to the same period of 2020, is the same volume, Trend reports via the Union of Oil Products Importers of Georgia.

According to the statistics, the share of Iran in total lubricants exports to Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 accounted for 16.7 percent.

The other main lubricants suppliers to Georgia are as follows:

Turkey – 2,750 tons (16.1-percent share);

Russia – 2,720 tons (15.9-percent share);

Germany – 1,440 tons (8.4-percent share).

The the Union of Oil Products Importers noted that the increase in gasoline and diesel imports did not affect the lubricants import.
