Visitor entrance through Georgian Batumi, Poti, Kulevi ports down

The number of visitors traveling to Georgia through Batumi Sea Port from January through December 2021 amounted to 3,626 visitors, which is a decrease of 51.9 percent, compared to 7,534 people over 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The same figure also decreased by 81.2 percent, compared to 19,291 visitors traveling to Georgia through Batumi Port over 2019. The share of Batumi Port by the tourist inflow to Georgia in 2021 accounted for 0.2 percent.

Poti Sea Port received 3,164 visitors over 2021, which is a decrease of 40 percent, compared to 5,271 visitors in 2020.

The same index decreased by 83.7 percent, compared to 19,362 visitors coming to Georgia through Poti Port over 2019. Poti Port also accounted for 0.2 percent of the total visitor inflow to Georgia over 2021.

The number of visitors traveling to Georgia through Kulevi Sea Port in 2021 totaled 60 people – a decrease of 88.5 percent, compared to 524 visitors over the same period of 2020.

Visitor inflow through Kulevi Port decreased by 96.8 percent in 2021, compared to 2019, when 1,895 people visited Georgia.

The total number of international visitors to Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to 1.8 million visitors, which is an increase of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.7 million over the same period of 2020.
