Georgia has exported up to 19,400 tons of hazelnuts worth $88.9 million from August 1, 2021, through February 6, 2022, Trend reports, referring to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.
The volume of Georgia’s hazelnut exports in the reporting period of 2021 increased by 28 percent (4,300 tons), while the value of exports increased by 11 percent ($8.5 million), compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the ministry, Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to European countries, as well as to the neighboring countries.
