BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. The US is willing to support Georgia in promoting its agriculture products on the international market, the Ambassador for the US in Georgia Kelly Degnan said, Trend reports via the press service of the Ministry of the Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between the ambassador and Minister of the Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Otar Shamugia.
According to the ambassador, the US will also assist Georgia’s farmers in wheat quality improvement and getting a bumper harvest.
The sides also talked about the promotion of the Georgian wine on the global market. As Shamugia said, Georgia is actively campaigning for the market diversification, however, the challenge remains. The minister expressed hope for Georgian wine to become more popular in the US.
