BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that Houthi rebels from Yemen's Ansar Allah movement attacked the Greek ship Laax, sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands, CENTCOM wrote on its X page, Trend reports.
It is reported that the Houthis fired five anti-ship ballistic missiles towards the Red Sea from areas under their control in Yemen.
"The Greek-owned, Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier Laax said it was hit by three missiles but continued sailing," CENTCOM said.
It is noted that US, coalition and commercial vessels were not damaged. It is also reported that five drones launched by the Houthis from Yemen were destroyed over the Red Sea. The command said that the UAVs posed a direct threat to merchant ships in the region.
