Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa Sunday condemned the assault perpetrated by Yemeni rebels against Saudi Arabia, Bahrain News Agency BNA reported.
The prime minister said in a cabinet meeting on Sunday that his country supports Saudi Arabia in defending its own land and securing its borders, Xinhua reported.
He said the assault is an attack against "the Arab nation," adding that Saudi Arabia is a key player in both Arab and Islamic worlds.
A Saudi border guard was killed and 11 others injured in an attack on Wednesday near the southern border with Yemen by a group of Yemeni armed militants who infiltrated into the border area.
