Israeli unexploded ordnance went off Friday in the Gaza Strip, killing two Palestinian teenagers, medics said.
The blast killed one of the boys immediately and the other died shortly after arriving at hospital, said Adham Abu Selmia of the Hamas government Interior Ministry's medical services, Xinhua reported.
The incident took place in east of Gaza City, where Israeli ground forces operated during a three-week military operation nearly two years ago.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces opened fire at Palestinians near security fence separating Gaza and Israel, wounding three Palestinians in two separate shootings, witnesses said.
Two of the injured were farmers working their land in Beit Lahiya town in northern Gaza, and the third was a teenager walking to the east of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza Strip.
Israel allocated a 300-meter-wide buffer zone along its western and southern borders with the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Shootings in that no-go area take place almost on daily basis.
