Egyptian Information Minister Anas al-Feki dismissed again the reports about the possible resignation of Mubarak.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is likely to step down tonight, BBC and CNN said on Thursday.

Mubarak, who has run Egypt for 30 years, is likely to announce his resignation tonight, the secretary general of Egypt's ruling National Democratic Party, Houssam Badrawi, told CNN. Al Jazeera quoted Badrawi as saying that it would be right for Mubarak to "step aside."

Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq told the BBC that Mubarak's resignation is being discussed.

Earlier Egyptian Information Minister said media reports that Mubarak will step down soon are just rumors.
