The public prosecutor has demanded to sentence former Egyptian President
Hosni Mubarak to death in the trial against him, Egyptian television reported.
The trial of Mubarak began in Cairo on Wednesday, Al Jazeera reported.
He is accused of violence against peaceful demonstrators, as well as corruption and illicit enrichment.
As a result of people's disorders in Egypt in January-February 2011, more than 800 people were killed and nearly 6,000 people were injured. President Hosni Mubarak resigned on Feb. 11.
