Libya leader orders investigation in Gaddafi's death

Libya's transitional leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil on Monday said an investigation will begin into the death of slain leader Moamer Gaddafi, whose body has remained unburied since he was killed on Thursday.

Abdul Jalil said the National Transitional Council formed a committee to investigate the killing, in response to international calls amid conflicting reports of how the deposed leader died, DPA reported.

"All Libyans were keen to try Gaddafi for his crimes. ... Free Libyans wanted him to be imprisoned and humiliated," he told a press conference in the eastern city of Benghazi.

Abdul Jalil said that Gaddafi's loyalists were the ones who had an interest in killing him.
