Egypt’s new parliament ready to establish direct contacts with Russia
Egypt's new parliament is ready to establish direct contacts with Russia, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and president's Middle East envoy Mikhail Bogdanov said on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS reported.
"Egypt is one of the biggest countries and Russia's strategic partner in the region," he said. "We wish it to realize the nation's expectations, we are waiting for the presidential elections there."
According to Bogdanov, Egypt's new parliament has expressed readiness to establish direct contacts with Russia. "We are ready to cooperate closely in future," he stressed.
