Azerbaijan, Baku, July 31 / Trend, A.Taghiyeva /

Representatives of the Syrian opposition will meet today in Cairo to announce about establishment of a transitional government headed by Kheysam Al-Malikh, Al Arabiya TV channel said on Tuesday.

It is reported that the new government will include all sides of the Syrian opposition, including members of the organization "Muslim Brotherhood".

The transitional government will also include high-ranking military and those who took the most active role in the achievement of the revolution.

Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for more than a year.

They turned into an armed struggle between the opposition and units of the power structures of the country. Reports about new armed incidents and victims appear on a regular basis. This is despite the country having declared a truce since mid-April according to UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria Kofi Annan's plan.

According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria has exceeded 17,000 people. About 230,000 people became refugees.
