Turkish decision "not go-ahead for war" - deputy premier
The Turkish parliament's decision to allow a possible military operation in neighbouring Syria was not a declaration of war, the country's deputy premier said Thursday, reported dpa.
"This document is not a go-ahead for war," said Besir Atalay. according to Turkish media.
The parliamentary approval was only meant to deter further shelling attacks from Syria and to allow the government to defend the country's interests.
