One person was killed and another injured on Monday in two separate bomb blasts in the Bahraini capital Manama, the Interior Ministry said, dpa reported.
A home-made bomb exploded in the district of Gudaibiya, home to government offices, and killed a cleaning worker, the ministry said in a Twitter statement, quoted by Bahrain's state news agency.
Another worker was seriously injured when a second bomb went off in the Manama neighbourhood of Adliya, said the ministry, calling both blasts "terrorist acts."
Bahrain has been hit by unrest since February last year.
The Gulf country has since seen mass protests led by its Shiite Muslim majority to demand more rights from the ruling Sunni royal family.
