The former Prime Minister of Libya Baghdadi al-Mahmudi will appear in court on Monday, the Voice of Russia reported.
He is accused of crimes that threatened national security according to statement by the Attorney General of Libya.
Al-Mahmoudi headed the government of the former Jamahiriya in 2006.
When the regime of Muammar Gaddafi fell in February of 2011, he decided to flee to Tunisia, where he was arrested for illegally crossing the border.
In late June the former head of the Libyan government was extradited to his homeland.
After he was deported a scandal broke out in Tunis and President Moncef Marzouki said that Prime Minister Hamadi Dzhebali had exceeded his powers when he allowed for the extradition.
