Samir Morqos, a Christian advisor to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, said Friday he was resigning in protest at "surprising" decrees issued by the Islamist leader, dpa reported.
"I have decided to resign because the president and presidential officials did not inform me of anything about these decrees before they were announced. I learnt about them from television," Morqos told the online edition of the state-owned newspaper Al Ahram.
