Syrian crisis has no political solution until terrorism defeated – Assad
Political solution to the Syrian crisis could not be achieved until terrorist groups operating in the country are defeated, Syrian President Bashar Assad said Sunday in a televised address to the nation.
The Syrian president added that a critical period of the war in the country has begun when trade-offs are impossible until terrorism is defeated.
At the same time, Assad stressed he supports any political dialogue, even if it has a minimal impact on the resolution of the crisis.
Assad pointed out that third states have recently increased assistance to militant groups fighting Syrian government. The president said he appreciated support Russia and China has been providing Syria with at the UN Security Council.
