Egypt opens the Rafah border gate to facilitate a passage to Palestine for four days, TRT Russian website reported.

The international aid convoys as well as the patients and people with emergencies will be able to pass through the border gate.

According to the agreement reached between the Palestinian Authority and Egypt the Rafah border gate will remain open for four days for two way crossings. If any delays occur in passing through the border, the period may be extended.

Egyptian Government announced that 5 thousand Palestinians and foreigners will be able to cross through the only open border gate to Gaza from the world.

Nearly 350 members of the "Viva Palestina" convoy who have been waiting in Damascus and Latakia to enter Gaza for days will be airlifted to Al Arish port of Egypt from where they will cross into Gaza through Rafah border gate.

About 200 vehicles and 12 people who had joined the convoy from Turkey onboard the ro-ro ship Ulusoy 6 have sailed off to the Egyptian port of Al Arish.

Meanwhile, Syrian Transport Minister Yarob Badr called his Turkish counterpart Binali Yıldırım and expressed his contentment over Turkey's efforts to solve the ship issue.
