Israeli aircraft struck a car traveling south of Gaza City late Thursday afternoon, wounding three people, Palestinian medical officials and witnesses said, DPA reported.
An Israeli military spokeswoman in Tel Aviv said she was checking the report.
According to the witnesses, the Golf car was hit by one missile. Medical officials confirmed the three people injured in the strike were taken to a hospital in the centre of the Gaza Strip.
The strike came hours after Israeli aircraft hit targets belonging to Hamas in an overnight raid on the enclave.
The Israeli raids were in retaliation for rocket attacks that had been launched from the salient on southern Israel, causing no injuries.
According to the Israeli military spokesman's office, a total of 165 rockets and mortars have been launched from the Gaza Strip at Israel so far this year.
