It is important for the European Union to have dialogue with Russia on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for Iran’s nuclear program, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told TASS upon arrival to the EU - Western Balkans summit in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
"I think it’s very important for the EU to have dialogue with Russia," he said in response to a question about Moscow’s role in preserving the Iran nuclear deal.
"I think it is very important that Russia or China or the EU express our support for this deal… Maybe this deal is not perfect but certainly this deal is a channel for dialogue with Iran in order to go in the way of de-escalation in the region," the Belgian prime minister pointed out.
