One person died and seven others were wounded in a van collision with a passenger train near a village in Rakovnik, west of the Czech Republic on Saturday afternoon, local media reported, Trend reports citing Xinhua.
There were five people in the van and six aboard the train, including the driver who escaped unharmed. The dead was a woman. Four of the injured were from the van while the other three from the train.
A helicopter has transported the two seriously injured to a nearby hospital.
The accident happened at about 3:15 pm at a crossing equipped with lights but without a gate, the Czech News Agency reported.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
