Two Israeli airstrikes kill three Gaza Hamas militants

( dpa ) - Three Islamic Hamas movement militants were killed early on Monday in two separate Israeli aerial attacks on eastern Gaza City and the southern Gaza Strip, medics and witnesses said.

Mo'aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services, told reporters that three Palestinians were killed in two separate Israeli airstrikes, adding that one was killed in Shaja'eya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

He said two more people were killed in another Israeli airstrike in the town of Khoza, east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Kahn Younis. Two more people were wounded, he said.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' armed wing, said in a leaflet sent to reporters that Hani Abu Sallah and Tha'er Musabeh, from Khan Younis, and Husam Abu Hein from Gaza City, were killed in the two aerial attacks."

It said that an Israeli helicopter launched one rocket at a group of Hamas militants in eastern Gaza, killing at least one and wounding another.

The leaflet added that another Israeli helicopter fired two rockets at another group of Hamas militants east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing two militants and wounding two others.
