Ehud Olmert to Meet with Egyptian President in Cairo
The issue regarding to release the Israeli captured soldier, Gilad Shalit, will become the key topic of the meeting between Ehud Olmert, Israeli Prime Minister and Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian President, in Sharm ash-Sheikh on 24 June, MIGNEWS reported.It is expected that Olmert will urge Mubarak to impact pressure on the Hamas movement, which has been kept Shalit since June 2006. Some politicians consider that Hamas should make changes into the captured list, whom Israel will release in exchange to Shalit.
Olmert and Mubarak will discuss indirect negotiations between Israel and Syria, as well as relations with the Palestinian Autonomy and temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Delivering a speech in a meeting Kadima, Olmert promised to restore stability through any weay to residents nearby Gaza Strip.
