Israeli Azerbaijanis Congress Will Support Ilham Aliyev in Presidential Elections

Israel, Jerusalem, 10 October / Trend corr. A.Gut /The press service of the Israeli Azerbaijanis Congress distributed a statement on the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan. Congress is being a Diaspora organization of Azerbaijanis, addressed to Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations abroad to support Ilham Aliyev's candidature in the forthcoming presidential elections.

"The upcoming presidential elections on 15 October stand as a special political importance for Israeli Azerbaijanis Congress- former citizens of Azerbaijan, as the future of the Azerbaijani Republic depends on the personality of the man that will come to the office," the statement said.

Israeli Azerbaijanis Congress highly estimated the five years activity of the incumbent President Ilham Aliyev. "Ilham Aliyev got a chance for innovation spurt thanks to successful state of world carbohydrates prices and going on the way of creation of independent routes for their delivery, managed not only to collect but to consolidate capitals from oil into the state budget, as well. Aliyev succeeded to invest these capitals into development of the country and at the same time demonstrated stable development rate in unstable conditions abroad. As a result, Azerbaijan has been demonstrated not only high development rates, but also record development rates in post Soviet area," is stated in the statement.

"Azerbaijan is real example of tolerance. The Jewish community in Azerbaijan has very good conditions and Jewish who reside in the country feel themselves like in their own country. Traditional and tolerant relations to other nationalities were and are the mien ethno cultural feature of Azerbaijanis. Jewish like representatives of other nationality minorities carries deserving contribution into establishment of democratic state, development of economy, science and culture. And Ilham Aliyev's contribution in this direction is great," the statement said.

Noting the special character of the foreign policy, the representatives of the Israeli Azerbaijanis Congress stated that Ilham Aliyev kept balance in abroad arena escaping fascination by any country or alliance. "Multi-vector character and strategy of strong alliances is not an empty sign. All these provide giant potential for long term development and guarantees for foreign policy.  Multi-vector is an opportunity to have flexible course escaping any geopolitical groups and to estimate relations with friendship neighbors and far friends.  

Congress' representatives, being Israeli citizens, do not have right to vote and participate in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. "However, we address to our compatriots and Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in the United States and Canada, Germany and Austria, Russia and Great Britain, Holland and Switzerland, Turkey and Uzbekistan, France and Benelux countries, Egypt and United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Ukraine and other countries to vote for Ilham Aliyev, who personify new pleiad of politicians and diplomats and is the deserving successor of the All National leader of Heydar Aliyev.

The presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 15 October. Seven candidates will take part in the elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
