Gunmen killed one Israeli Sunday morning, and wounded two others, when they opened fire on a group en route to the biblical shrine of Joseph's Tomb, an Israeli military spokesman in Tel Aviv said, dpa reported.
The incident took place as their vehicle entered the northern West Bank city of Nablus. The driver managed to make it to a nearby army base, where the casualties were treated.
According to the Israeli military, the group had entered the area without the army authorization needed to visit the shrine on the outskirts of Nablus.
