A 92-year old Israeli man was stopped by police after being found driving down the wrong side of one of the country's busiest motorways, DPA reported.
According to the Israel Post daily Tuesday, police received reports Monday afternoon of a reckless driver on the Ayalon freeway.
When they stopped the car, which was traveling sedately along the inside lane while other motorists whizzed by in the opposite direction, the motorist said he was rushing to a friend's birthday party at Tel Aviv's Ichilov hospital, and "became confused."
His license was revoked on the spot, and he was told to undergo a medical examination to determine whether he was fit to continue driving at his age.
