Missing small plane found in Colombia, 6 people dead

( dpa ) - The six occupants of a Cessna 206 airplane reported missing Thursday in north-western Colombia were found dead by rescue teams Tuesday, authorities said. The accident claimed the lives of the pilot and the outgoing mayor of the town of Murindo, Elias Palacio, as well as his wife and three children aged 13, 17 and 18. The plane went missing as it flew from Murindo to Medellin, also in north-western Colombia. According to media reports, the accident happened in the same area where a commercial airplane crashed in May 1993 killing 132 people.
