( dpa ) - Britney Spears has been ordered to pay 375,000 dollars of ex-husband Kevin Federline's legal bills, according to court documents released Monday.
Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott Gordon called the legal billing "reasonable," in large part because "the actions of [Spears] caused the great majority of litigation."
The newly released papers also revealed that Spears' own bills for the protracted custody battle now reach almost 750,000 dollars, according to TMZ.com.
People Magazine reported meanwhile that Spears and her family have become increasingly close to actor Mel Gibson since her release from hospital last month.
"Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible," a source told People.
"There's just a handful of people in the world who understand the kind of intense attention that Britney goes through, and how to raise a family with some semblance of privacy and how to keep one's family intact and out of the limelight," the source added.
