Drunk passenger threatening terrorism forces emergency landing

( dpa )- An intoxicated passenger forced the landing of a commercial flight from Frankfurt to Kiev after claiming he was a terrorist, Interfax news agency reported on Monday.

The row ensued when a Russian national aboard the Lufthansa flight began a fistfight with flight crew after being refused extra servings of liquor.

Stewards and passengers subdued the man. The pilots landed the plane in the Polish city of Katowice , and handed him over to police.

The suspect refused to take a sobriety test. An inspection of his luggage showed no dangerous materials.

The flight continued to its destination some two hours late.

Polish police will investigate the incident, according to the report.
