On April 16 Tesla released a statement about the fact that they were readying a lawsuit against Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker Automotive and Fisker Coachbuild, for purposefully supplying Tesla with substandard designs for their White Star electric sedan project and using Tesla information for his own Fisker Karma Concept. Yesterday Fisker Automotive responds with a statement that their Fisker Karma, a plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) 4-door sedan, is on schedule for quarter 4 2009 deliveries. "The lawsuit is nonsense," said Henrik Fisker, CEO, Fisker Automotive about the allegations."Fisker Coachbuild has non-exclusive design contracts as shown by the cars we have designed for a variety of manufacturers."
Henrik Fisker designed cars like the BMW E-1 electric car in 1991, the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. With his company Fisker coachbuild he created the Fisker Tramonto and Fisker Latigo CS in 2005.
