(dpa) - A
spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said on
Saturday that delegates from the movement will be arriving in Cairo within the
next few day for talks with Egyptian officials over a proposed six-month truce
with Israel.
Anwar Raga told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa in Syria that the Palestinian
delegation would meet with Egyptian leaders, who had invited them to negotiate
the truce.
The PFLP had some ideas that were independent of the radical Palestinian Hamas
movement, Raga said, stressing that the delegation would discuss the pros and
cons of the truce with Egyptian officials.
Raga said that the visit would last for a couple of days, as Egyptian and
Palestinian officials planned to cover all aspects of the truce in their
meeting.
Israel already rejected the truce offer on Friday as "not serious."
