Most Real Madrid fans do not agree with paying 80 million euros (126.02 million dollars)for Cristiano Ronaldo, dpa reported.

This is the conclusion to be drawn from an online poll organized by Madrid sports daily Marca, which is mostly read by Real fans.

By Saturday afternoon, the poll had received no less than 106,705 votes, only 34.38 per cent of which are in favour of paying Manchester United such a sum for the Portuguese winger.

No less that 65.62 per cent of the votes are opposed to forking out such an amount for him, which would come close to breaking the world transfer record.

Real president Ramon Calderon has said that he will pay up to 80 million euros for Cristiano Ronaldo, to the annoyance of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Calderon was in Moscow on Wednesday to see Ronaldo help United to their third Champions Cup triumph. Calderon is keen to bring more star quality to the Estadio Bernabeu, despite his team just having won their second successive Spanish league title.

On Friday Ronaldo, 23, joined the Portugal squad preparing for Euro 2008. He has been quoted by the Spanish media as saying, rather enigmatically, that he will decide his future within two weeks.
