A Chinese government spokesman says the death toll has risen to 62,664 from the massive earthquake that hit Sichuan province nearly two weeks ago.
Cabinet spokesman Guo Weimin told a news conference Sunday that another 23,775 people are still missing from the May 12 earthquake.
The government has already said the final death toll could surpass 80,000, AP reported.
