AC Milan announced Saturday the signing of Italian right-back Gianluca Zambrotta from Barcelona.
The seven-times European champions have not stated how much they have paid for Zambrotta, but Italian and Spanish media reports suggest that the transfer fee will be around eight million euros (12.42 million dollars), the dpa reported.
Zambrotta, 31, has failed to impress at Barcelona since joining from Juventus in July 2006.
Barca are determined to offload up to 14 players this summer after a second trophy-less season.
They are keen to replace Zambrotta with Daniel Alves, despite Sevilla demanding a hefty fee for the Brazilian.
